US Club Soccer - Florida State Cup
|
The Florida State Cup hosted by Florida United Soccer and sanctioned by US
Club Soccer is growing at a very rapid rate, and so are the questions and
discussions about this young event. Please find below a range of questions
and answer regarding participation in this US Club Soccer state championship.
The reference to league comes from the FACT the Florida State Cup is a
sanctioned league under US Club Soccer rules, so you will often see
something discussing league as part of the US Club Soccer registration
process for Florida State Cup.
To assist in developing the next generation of soccer players through Cup
competition, league development, field development and soccer education.
What is the purpose of Florida United Soccer?
Yes! Teams need to be registered with the organization that sanctions the
league, whether it is US Club Soccer or a state association. Note that some
leagues sanction different age groups or divisions within the league with
different organizations. However, you have the right to join either organization
or both.
The so-called 100% rule is a USSF requirement that all players in a club or
league be registered with the appropriate USSF member. It cannot be
interpreted to mean that if some teams want to play in state cup, all the club’s
teams must register with the state association. A USSF member can only
require that the players that are participating in its programs register with them,
as long as the other players are registered with the USSF via another member.
Can I play in the US Club Soccer Florida State Cup if my team is registered to
USYSA, AYSO or SAY?
Yes! Clubs have a right to register teams with both organizations. Many clubs
continue to register at least some of their teams with the state association so
they may, for example, play in the US Youth Soccer State Cup.
USSF Bylaw 603(2) states in part: "An Organization Member (other than a
Professional League) shall not discriminate against the participation of players,
teams, coaches, or clubs on the basis of that player, coach, team, or club's
membership in, or affiliation with, another organization."
Can my team be registered with 2 organizations [example: US Club and
USYSA] without a problem or penalty?
Clubs and individual teams seeking to play in a pre-existing US Club soccer
league(s), should click Apply, and complete the League Team application. If a
club or team is joining multiple leagues, it must complete an application for
each individual league.
How do I register with US Club Soccer?
May I use US Club passes at other events, even out of state?
Why do I always see "league" when referencing the US Club Soccer Florida
State Cup?
Yes! You can attend any event that is not limited to the members of just one
organization (i.e. state cup). State boundaries make no difference in
participating with US Club Soccer. If you are traveling as a US Club Soccer
team to any soccer event in the country sanctioned by a USSF-affiliated
organization, no travel permission is required, and your own insurance
applies. International travel requires USSF approval.
